APRIL FAMILY ACTIVITY

April 2-8: Acids and Bases, Oh My (+3 years old)

Do you know what food is acidic and what food is basic?  Test your chemistry knowledge and get your kids to experiment with ordinary food and household products to determine their pH level. Watch the fun and magical chemical reaction change as you and your kiddos experiment.

April 9-15: Will It Float? (+2.5 years old)

What determines whether an object floats or sinks? It is the density (mass per unit volume) of the object? Or the density of the liquid it is in?

Do you like arts and crafts projects like drawing, painting, cutting shapes out of construction paper, or origami? Instead of drawing that bright sun or lights in a house, imagine adding real lights to your artwork! This project will show you how, by introducing you to the world of electronics with “paper circuits.”

April 23-29: Big Cells, Small Cells, Blue Cells, Red Cells (+4 years old)

We are made up of cells. Lots and lots of them. Some of them are eukaryotic (human), but many more of them are prokaryotic, thanks to the friendly bacteria of your gut, skin, and other body systems. Jump into learning about cells and the complex and beautiful structures inside of them.
