All students will be picked up in the courtyard. School Staff are provided a list of students that are scheduled to be picked up each day. STEMful Staff will hold a sign labeled “STEMful Afterschool Program”.
Travel Plan:
Students and staff will travel to Upper Noe Recreation Center to meet with our other students.
Please note that on some occasions, the group may return directly to STEMful instead of going to the park.
Depart: Board the Muni 67 at the corner of Folsom St and Bessie St.
Transfer: Connect to the Muni 24 at the corner of Cortland Ave and Folsom St.
Arrive: Sanchez St and 30th St (corner to the entrance of the Recreation Center)
We have chosen not to use Precita Park for one primary reason:
- Social Integration: It would prevent students from different schools from interacting with their cohorts.
Pick Up Information
Please pick up your child from our studio at 30 29th Street (at Mission St).
We know that schedules can be hectic, but to give your child the best experience, we strongly recommend pick up after 5:15pm. This dedicated time is crucial for them to dive deep into their STEM projects and finish their work for the day.
To help us ensure quick pickups and maximize outdoor park time, please notify us in advance of any absences or early departures by email at afterschool@stemful-sf.com, or text/call at 415-660-5975.
Below is our routine schedule.
Note: Wednesday early dismissal and parent-teacher conference week schedule will be adjusted accordingly.
- 2:05-2:15 pm: STEMful Staff Pick-up students at school
- 2:15-2:40 pm: Catch Muni 67 and 24
- 2:40-4:00 pm: Outdoor Play Time and Snack
- 4:00-4:15 pm: Walk back to STEMful (~0.5 miles)
- 4:15-5:30 pm: Community Meeting, STEM Exploration (Focused Project/Investigation)
- 5:30-6:00 pm: Clean Up, Free Play, Pick-up at STEMful
