Curiosity Club AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM

Our afterschool program, Curiosity Club for grades TK-1st, aims to create an environment of excitement and hands-on engagement of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) in everyday life, with the goal of building the will and skill for lifelong learning. The mix between project-based structured activities and open-ended play-based exploration provides kids a variety of ways to build dynamic knowledge about STEAM while they have fun! The concepts explored in our afterschool programs complement and enhance your child’s standard school curriculum.

HOW IT WORKS

You can pick and choose between 2-5 days of the week; however, you must maintain the same number of days until the end of each month or until you cancel your membership.

Our afterschool programs will not be offered on the following school holidays and breaks, and cannot be substituted for camp days.

2025: Winter Break (1/1-1/3), MLK Jr Day (1/20), Lunar New Year (1/29), Presidents’ Day (2/17), Spring Break (3/28-4/4), Memorial Day (5/26), Labor Day (9/1), Indigenous People’s Day (10/13), Veterans Day (11/11), Thanksgiving Week (11/24-11/28), Winter Breaks (12/22-1/02)

2026: MLK (1/19), Presidents’ Day (2/16), Lunar New Year (2/17), Spring Break (3/27-4/3), Memorial Day (5/25)

Registration Fees & Membership Cost

New members: $250 registration fee (one time fee, if your child previously registered for the afterschool program and it was waived or you paid a prorate fee, you must pay this fee)

Monthly Membership, Material, Car Service Fees

Our programs support families from many different schools around the community and the start time is based on school dismissal time.

Monthly Program Fees

From 2:00-6:00pm Monday-Tuesday, Thursday-Friday, with Wednesday Early Release and Parent-Teacher Conference Week accommodations.

2-days: $468, 2-days (sibling): $418

3-days: $578, 3-days (sibling): $528

4-days: $688, 4-days (sibling): $638

5-days: $798, 5-days (sibling): $748

Schools We Provide Staff Pick-Ups

Dolores Huerta, Mission Education, TECA*, Alvarado* and Flynn*

*TECA, Flynn and Alvarado (additional fee of $35/month/student) for staff travel time and transportation.

Car Service Fee

$25-34/ride

• Service is for students from schools not included in our pick up route
• Service is by a local company servicing children
• Service can provide rides to 2-4 children from the same school
• Caregiver manages all rides 

IN A PINCH?

This is for an occasional need when you can’t pick up your children from school, and they have no other place to go. Ideal for families in the surrounding neighborhoods of Mission-Bernal Heights. We provide pick-ups at TECA, Dolores Huerta, Flynn, MEC and Alvarado.

POLICIES FOR MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP

• Program and material fees are automatically billed monthly.
• No refund on the registration fee. 
• Students must stay home if sick. 
• No prorate for missing or sick days. 
• Cancellation must be made ten (10) business days prior to the first of the month or a charge of 25% of monthly program fee may be applied, you must send an email to afterschool@stemful-sf.com to formally cancel your membership.
• Programs will be canceled on bad air quality above 150 AQI.
