Curiosity Club Monthly Themes
New monthly themes for Spring 2019 will be added in November.
|September||Super Scientists!||The foundation for Curiosity Club is set as we dive into science! Students will learn about what it means to be a scientist through hands on experiments and using scientific tools. They will also spend time exploring a different branches of science, physics, and chemistry. They will spend this month becoming a scientist!|
|October||Spooky STEM||Creepy things are afoot as we spotlight spooky STEM! We will investigate the structure of scary skeletons, create our own crystal balls and fog, build haunted houses, and explore gooey pumpkin guts before turning the pumpkin into a volcano. The activities will excite the senses as we investigate all things spooky during this month’s theme.|

|December||Exciting Energy||Energy is all around us every day. Students will delve into types of energy through a variety of hands-on projects and open exploration. As they build and test circuits with a variety of materials and approaches, students will learn about energy and electricity that surrounds them. As they create marble roller coasters and other things that go, they will learn about potential and kinetic energy. And in investigating natural and renewable energy resources, they will gain valuable critical thinking and problem solving skills. Student will gain a deep knowledge of energy by exploring during our month of energy!|
